4 Easy steps to correct your Google Maps Unverified listing
You may not want your business to appear in the listings displayed on Google Maps. Here is a simple method to remove your business from Google Maps:
There are 2 paths to take. They both get you the same results.
» Path 1 - Manually enter your information (4 steps)

Path 2: Click to remove
1. Log into
Google Local Business Center
. If you do not have a Google account you will be prompted to create one.
2. Enter your company's information
3. Select
Suspend this listing.
Google is nice enought to let you back on the site:
You may return to the Local Business Center and re-activate your listing at any time. (
At this stage you can also update your company's information and remove your Unverified listing status.

Don't worry,
Google will not allow just anyone to remove or update your listing.
You will receive a letter with a PIN that will allow you to complete the removal:
"Validating your listing - We'll send a letter containing a PIN and activation instructions to the business address associated with your listing. After you validate your listing, you may edit your Google Maps listing at any time."
4.
This is the final and most important step
. You will receive a letter with a PIN number instructing you how to complete the removal of your business from Google Maps. "
Within two weeks, we'll send a letter (containing your unique personal identification number and activation instructions) to the address below. Please follow the instructions in the letter to validate your information and prevent unauthorized edits to your listing."

Path 1: manually enter your information
1. Log into
Google Local Business Center

Go back to Google Maps
by clicking on the Google Maps icon in the upper-left corner of the Local Business Center.

Search
for your business.
4. Select your business and
click on the business name
in the information window.

Edit this Listing
at the bottom of the business details page.
